Calgary, March 2007 - Argon Venture Partners opens Canada headquarters in Calgary, Alberta.

Jason Bross
General Partner, United States

As an avid runner, Jason likens his venture investing experience to completing a marathon, but not for the obvious reasons. "Everyone realizes that it takes time to build a successful company, but overcoming adversity and dealing with the constant peaks and valleys is the most difficult part" says Jason, a founding partner of Argon. "But, in the end, there is no better feeling of accomplishment than realizing the long hours and hard work enabled a successful exit".

Jason has been actively entrenched in the venture capital industry since 1999, when he was appointed the Head of Venture Capital for National Investors Group, SA, a $200 million venture fund focused on communications and information technology. During his tenure, he was responsible for successfully investing in excess of $115 million, culminating with the fund being ranked among the top third for all vintage year funds (1999).  Representative investments include, but are not limited to, Broadslate Networks (NASD: DSLN), Capstone Turbine (NASD: CPST), Equator Technologies (Acquired by PixelWorks) and iVillage, Inc. (NASD: IVIL). Prior to National Investors Group, he was a member of CIBC World Markets' leveraged finance group.

After spending ample time commuting between New York to Northern California investing in technology companies, Jason relocated to the Silicon Valley shortly after forming Argon Capital, LLC (the predecessor fund).  He is currently a board observer of Anagran, Inc., an Argon portfolio company. Jason holds a B.S. in Finance and Marketing from Lehigh University and is a Candidate for Certificate Professional Achievement in E.E. from Columbia University.
